John Scott Evans - Personal Trainer
A lifelong resident of Knoxville, Iowa, John Scott Evans has dedicated his life to sports medicine and athletic development. With over five decades of hands-on experience, he is a cornerstone of the Iowa Nite Hawks organization.
Scott's expertise is built on a foundation of his own athletic success. A standout football player, he earned Iowa All-State honors twice, first as a defensive end in 1966 and again as an offensive tackle in 1967. He continued his career at the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a three-year letterman at linebacker before earning his B.A. in Science in 1972. He then completed his graduate certification in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 1974.
For more than 50 years, Scott has been a pillar of the Knoxville community through his private practice, specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, and holistic therapies. His passion for athletics shines in his community involvement, serving as Head Trainer at Central College and volunteering as the athletic trainer for Knoxville High School for an incredible 38 years.
His profound impact on athletes has been recognized with both the IHSAA Lifetime Sports Medicine Award and the Iowa Football Coaches Association Sports Medicine Award.
Today, as the Personal Trainer for the Iowa Nite Hawks, Scott is the driving force behind our team's physical preparation and wellness.
