Scotty Hayes
Player & Director of Technology — Iowa Nite Hawks
Equally comfortable locking in between the hashes and managing the team’s digital backbone, Scotty Hayes brings a rare dual-threat presence to the Iowa Nite Hawks: active player on the field and the mastermind behind all things tech and IT off of it.
For five years, Scotty has been an integral part of the Nite Hawks family, suiting up on game days while ensuring the organization’s digital systems, communications, and technology run at peak performance.
Military Service & Dedication
A dedicated military veteran, Scotty served with honor in the United States Marine Corps from 2010 to 2015, followed by continued service in the Iowa Air National Guard from 2015 to 2018. The mission-first focus, discipline, and brotherhood forged during his eight years of military service remain the bedrock of everything he brings to the Nite Hawks locker room and sidelines.
Family & Community
Originally from Grimes, Iowa, Scotty now lives in Urbandale with his wife and four children. A passionate youth sports coach, he actively coaches his kids and is deeply invested in developing the next generation of student-athletes in central Iowa.
